Castello Monaci

A 16th-century castle in the heart of Salento, today part of a historic wine estate. The long eucalyptus-lined driveway leading to the entrance, the dry-stone walls and the red earth typical of the area set the tone for the whole venue, surrounded by centuries-old vineyards and olive groves.

Inside, historic rooms such as the Hall of Mirrors and the Hall of Shields alternate with a large garden and pool, perfect for an outdoor ceremony. The Ionian Sea is about 20 minutes by car, for anyone who wants to round off the day with a sunset on the beach.
