Vincent & Francesca — Paris in black and white

Paris, France

Vincent and Francesca on the Pont Alexandre III, with the street lamp and the Eiffel Tower lit up

Vincent and Francesca crossed Paris on foot, dressed as bride and groom, from morning until late into the night. No schedule, no plan: just the city, its sounds and the wish to get lost together.

We chose to tell the whole story in black and white. Paris reads beautifully that way: the pale stone, the wrought iron, the street lamps, the light gliding over the Seine. Without colour, what remains are shapes, gestures and people.

Montmartre, in the morning

The day begins on the hill: tree-lined little squares, an accordion player on the steps, bistros setting out their tables, the Wall of Love and the Art Nouveau métro entrances. Then the climb to the Sacré-Cœur, with all of Paris at their feet, and a first embrace in front of the basilica.

The Louvre and the Seine

In front of the Louvre pyramid, Vincent and Francesca are one couple among a thousand passers-by, and yet they seem alone. Along the Seine the city slows down: Notre-Dame, the bouquinistes' stalls, the Shakespeare and Company bookshop, the narrow streets of the Latin Quarter. Further on, the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe.

Night on the Pont Alexandre III

When the street lamps come on, the Pont Alexandre III becomes the most beautiful stage in Paris. The Eiffel Tower sparkles at the end of the Seine, boats glide under the bridges and cars leave trails of light. This is where the story ends: a kiss, a dip, and the city still rushing on all around them.

Your wedding deserves a story like this too.
